Jared King is an entrepreneur driven by a clear purpose: to help disadvantaged groups thrive through entrepreneurship.
Make no mistake, he is a capitalist, but with compassion. He focuses on starting businesses that make money and make the world a more fair place.
In 2010, at the age of 26, Jared moved to Hong Kong with no money and no contacts. Over the next 2 years he built a profitable, million dollar business, E3 Reloaded. As a creative communications agency, E3's mission is to make work suck less!
E3 works alongside leading organisations to create change and inspire greatness. E3's clients include Cathay Pacific, Standard Chartered, and Johnson & Johnson.
In 2012, Jared was a speaker at TEDx. His talk, entitled 'Talent is the most wasted resource on Earth' is a rallying cry for organisations to stop treating their employees like second-class citizens and start solving the massive problem of disengagement in the workplace. Jared is frequently invited to speak at industry conferences in the HR space and at leadership conferences.
Outside of work, Jared created the 'Alphabet Marathon Challenge', a personal quest to run 26 marathons in 26 different cities around the globe - one marathon for every letter of the alphabet. He has completed marathons in cities such as Kigali, Osaka, and Zhengzhou. Once, after completing a marathon in Beirut, a bystander commented, "You did the full 42km? Wow, that's amazing! You don't even have an athletic body!" ... It was both awkward and true.
Jared studied at Queen's University in Kingston, Canada, where he captained the varsity soccer team, and won academic all-Canadian honours.
